Name:
Make a Difference
Description:
Children are starving in Africa, people are homeless in cities around the world. Things can be done for these people, for animals, for the Earth. "You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate."(Luke 6:36) Taking action doesn't necessarily have to be something big. Just taking some time to visit a senior center or volunteer at a soup kitchen. You could amp it up by starting a food drive. In this group you can discuss ways to make a difference or organize something.

Start a Afterschool Homework Help Program at a School
Each year hundreds of students drop out of highschool, mostly because of grades. But what is those students had a place to study, to get help? Having a Homework Help or similar program can reduce these rates by getting students the help they need. You can host it in the library and get teachers or upperclassmen students that are good at certain subjects to help out. They can do homework, study for tests, get help with classwork they don't understand.
